A little research

As in my last post about my faulty computer, I decided to do a little research and very quickly found hundreds and hundreds of people complaining about the same problem with this specific range of HP computers. What made me furious is that HP is fully aware of it and has been for TWO YEARS! They still continue to sell them and do nothing about it.

I’m now firing off a legal letter to their legal dept. I also contacted a tv program about the issue. I will also be contacting my credit card company as I paid for it with the card (and paid it straight off with the savings I had specifically built up over 3yrs to buy this computer). I will fight for a refund as there’s no point asking for a replacement if there are all affected. Fingers crossed. If I don’t get a refund, I lose out a huge amount of money and stuck with a computer that’s not fit for its purpose.

Today I finished off my humongous essay and submitted it. I hope I pass.  I should hear in about a week. It’s the last ever essay for this course. Now I have quite a few weeks ahead of me of intensive revision for my exam. It’s been a very long time since I did an exam, I’m quite apprehensive about it. Of course I will be in bed taking the exam online but still. Somehow I need to find another computer to take it, there’s no telling when this one will freeze up/reboot itself/blue screen yada, yada, yada and I can’t re-sit it without paying more money. Still, I shall worry about it nearer the time. I just hope my health doesn’t get in the way too much of revising and I go days or even weeks between any revision.
